Privacy Policy

Restra (the "App") is an iOS application that helps knowledge workers scientifically optimize the quality of their breaks. This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and how it is protected.

1. Provider

2. Core principle — on-device processing

The defining characteristic of the App is that it processes and stores your personal data, including health-related data, only on your iPhone and does not transmit it to any external server. The App currently performs no network communication that sends personal data.

3. Information we handle and why

Health data (HealthKit)With your permission, the App reads sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), step count, active energy, exercise time, and workouts. It uses them only on your device to compute your REST score and performance prediction. This data is never transmitted externally.
Motion & FitnessUsed to detect prolonged sitting so the App can suggest breaks at the right time. Processed on-device only.
Date of birth & settingsThe birth date and app settings you enter (max-heart-rate formula, theme, language, etc.) are stored on-device to drive calculations and display.
Notification permissionUsed to deliver break reminders as local notifications. Notification content is never sent externally.

4. Handling of health data

Health and fitness information obtained from HealthKit is used solely to provide the App's features (fatigue estimation and break suggestions). It is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared with third parties, in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

5. Third parties and external transmission

The App currently does not share your personal data with third parties and does not transmit it to external servers.

If we later use external services for subscription management or anonymous usage analytics, we will revise this policy and name those providers as data processors before doing so. Health data is never transmitted for analytics.

6. Storage location and retention

All data the App handles is stored on your device. Deleting the App removes the data it stored on-device. HealthKit data is managed by the Health app and is not removed by deleting the App.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, and delete the information the App keeps on your device, through in-app settings or by deleting the App. If you reside in the EU/EEA or the UK, you may exercise your rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, etc.). 8. Managing HealthKit permissions

You can change HealthKit read permissions at any time from the iOS Settings or the Health app. Revoking permission may disable some features.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent.

10. Security

By keeping data on-device, the App structurally reduces the risk of exposure in transit. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode or Face ID.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as features or laws change. For material changes, we will update the date on this page.
